How long does it take to get GED Test results? Generally, the scores for Social Studies, Science, Reading, and Math are available on the following day by 3:00 PM. The results for the Writing test may take up to one week. Once all passing scores are returned, it takes about 3 weeks to receive the official GED transcript and diploma in the mail. The MN Department of Education GED Administration issues the original GED transcript and diploma.
|
Where can I take the GED Official Practice Tests? The Hubbs Center offers free GED Official Practice Tests on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9 AM and 5:30 PM. No appointment is necessary. These tests are a good indicator of performance on the actual tests so it is strongly suggested that you use this free service to determine your readiness.
|
Are there accommodations for people with disabilities? Yes, accommodations are provided for people with documented disabilities. Please contact the GED Chief Examiner at 651-290-4779 for more information regarding GED Testing accommodations and application materials.

How many GED Tests may I take in a day?
The number of tests an individual
may take during each session will vary, depending on which tests are being
administered and the length of time it takes to complete those tests.
|
What do I need to bring with me to GED Testing?
An official picture ID is required (driver's license, state ID, military ID,
or U.S.
passport), that shows both a birth date and place of residence. If the
picture ID does not show current place of residence, other documents will be required to prove residency (a bill or official mailing to your
address). Student ID’s and Bank ID’s do not meet the state's
requirement as official ID's. If you have previously tested out of state, you must bring an official transcript in order to start testing at the Hubbs Center.
|
What if I have started GED Tests at another center? If you have taken the official GED Tests anywhere else, it is important that you inform the examiners before you start GED Testing at the Hubbs Center. If you tested in Minnesota, we can look up your previous scores and ensure that all of your scores will be combined. If you tested outside of Minnesota, we will need an official transcript from your previous test center or that state's Department of Education before you would eligible to test here. If you need assistance with obtaining a transcript from out of state, please call 651-290-4779. If you have access to the internet, you could search for the appropriate department of education's website for their contact information and procedures for obtaining your official GED transcript.
